Artichoke Flower

A friend of mine grew artichokes this year. They just went to flower. I couldn't resist, so I stole them.

Pumpkin Time

It's autumn, fall, coming on to the Thanksgiving Holiday here in the USA. Coming on to Winter everywhere in the Northern half of the planet. The veggies in the market are changing and all the gourdes, pumpkins and winter squash are showing up.

An Island

There's a place called The Racetrack in a remote section of Death Valley. It's a dry lakebed and has an "island" in its center. The island is what's left of an old volcano, basically the lava plug, the rest of the hill has eroded.
